Metals Removal at the Mount Emmons Project
Apex Engineering served as process engineer to implement plant improvements and reduce costs at this 1000-gpm mine water treatment plant, which treats acid mine drainage year-round.  Tasks included site visits, bench testing, pilot testing, process design and optimization, equipment selection and process flowsheet development.  The team also began an effort to upgrade critical operations of the 30-year-old plant, including replacing the filters, dissolved air flotation system and sludge processing system.
Apex Engineering assisted in optimizing this process for metals removal and others
